FAU's Largest Pre-Medical Organization

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a national organization and AMSA FAU is the Pre-Medical chapter at Florida Atlantic University. We offer various opportunities to be involved in the Pre-Health community at FAU, specifically for those wishing to attend medical school.

ABOUT US

Beyond being just another pre-medical student club, we are a community of like minded students. Our members usually participate in Bahamas and Puerto Rico mission trips, gross anatomy labs involving donor bodies, volunteering at local organizations, Kaplan workshop visits, and plenty more. Most importantly, through our organization, our members are able to network in order to make connections that can accompany them along their journey through their pre-med years and even through medical school!

Whenever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity
- Hippocrates

OUR MISSION

At AMSA FAU we aim to create a place for pre-medical students to learn, grow, and connect as they work towards medical school. The journey to become a doctor is difficult, but hopefully we can make it a little easier and more fun together. We know that the life of a pre-medical student is stressful and confusing, so become a member, come to our events, and take advantage of our opportunities!

EVENTS

We host three general body meeting a semester as well as several events every week through our various interest groups. These events range from clinical skills to research.

MEDICAL EXPOSURE

From shadowing and guest speakers to mission trips and anatomy labs, we have plenty of opportunities that will help you gain exposure to the field of medicine.

LIKE-MINDED STUDENTS

We are all students with a common interest in medicine. We are your classmates in organic chemistry, peers studying for the MCAT, and volunteers at local soup kitchens.
